Technical Committee on Sustainable Preservation Webinar Series:
Sustainable Repair and Retrofit of Historic Building Envelopes

Tuesday, June 11, 2024*
Tuesday, June 18, 2024*
Tuesday, July 16, 2024
Tuesday, September 17, 2024--Postponed, new date TBA

The webinar series will focus on assessment of deficiencies and treatment options for walls and windows, roofs, foundations, along with design and operational considerations for energy reduction, climate response and facade hardening retrofits. See below for information on each session.

Sessions are independent of each other.  Participants are welcome to register and attend the entire series, or only the topics that interest them. Webinars will be recorded and made available to those who register for that specific session, prior to the event going live. Accreditation guidelines dictate that CEU credit is only available to participants of the live sessions.

Each session earns 2 LU/HSW/PDH Continuing Education Units.
Please note CEU credit is not available for recorded content.  You must attend the live session to be eligible for credit.

 * Limited Time Opportunity: Did you miss the earlier the sessions in the series? Access to previously recorded content is now available for this webinar series. Register to view webinars earlier in the series.

Learning objectives:

After attending this webinar series, attendees will be able to:
  1. Describe various historic building envelope construction typologies.
  2. Identify the causes of and ways to assess historic building envelope performance deficiencies, including those related to deterioration, structural issues, and failure to meet current energy efficiency and security standards.
  3. Apply best practice approaches for ensuring visual and physical compatibility between new and existing materials and maintaining original design intent.
  4. Discuss methods for choosing among repair, replacement, and retrofit options for addressing performance deficiencies.
Registration Fees Per Session
